On Saturday, March 2nd, 2013, a group of Santiago Park archers in conjunction with the Pendleton Sportsman's Club spent the day assisting the Wounded Warriors at Camp Pendleton who were participating in the 2013 Marine Corp Trials. Participants included wounded U.S. Marines and wounded military from allied nations including Australia, Britain, Germany, New Zealand and The Netherlands. Archers competed in recurve and compound classes at 20 yards shooting at a 40cm target face.

Santiago archers spent the day scoring, pulling arrows and providing shooting tips to participants. Thank you to all of those who took the time to come out and assist with this cause. A special thanks to Eugene Schwer for gathering volunteers and to Jason Conner of the Pendleton Sportsman’s Club for extending the opportunity to our club.
