Target use at the El Dorado Archery Range

Fellow Archers,A serious matter has been brought to our attention regarding the use of animal targets (both paper and 3D) at the El Dorado Archery Range. Long Beach Parks and Recreation department has been persuaded to disallow the use of these targets based on several spectators who found shooting animal targets to be offensive.Disallowing these type of targets at the El Dorado Archery could set a precedent for other public archery ranges in Southern California....

Santiago Park Archers Assist with the 2014 Wounded Warriors Marine Corps Archery Trails

The 4th annual Marine Corps Archery Trials took place aboard Camp Pendleton on Saturday March 8th, 2014. The Marine Corps Trials is an 8-sport Paralympic-style invitational made up of wounded, ill, and injured Marines and international wounded warriors. The athletes will be organized into 4 competing teams from Wounded Warrior Battalion-West, Wounded Warrior Battalion-East, Marine Veterans, and international allies. Santiago Park Archers Assist in Wounded Warrior Trials

  On Saturday, March 2nd, 2013, a group of Santiago Park archers in conjunction with the Pendleton Sportsman's Club spent the day assisting the Wounded Warriors at Camp Pendleton who were participating in the 2013 Marine Corp Trials. Participants included wounded U.S. Marines and wounded military from allied nations including Australia, Britain, Germany, New Zealand and The Netherlands.
